Minor Patch 1.0.3 - Combat revamp part 1


Additions:

  • Finished the infrastructure for the upcoming major update (it's gonna be really great guys just wait)
  • Successful  rolls will now allow the player to pass through the enemy
  • Added the "Confused" status effect to enemies: when the player successfully rolls away from an attack, the attacking enemy will not attack them for one second


    • The time for which the enemy is confused might be changed in later patches depending on feedback
    • Unlike the "Stunned" status effect, the enemy will not take more damage
  • Added small symbols on the enemy's health bar to represent active status effects

Changes:

  • Increased enemy attack accuracy
  • Greatly increased the rolling time-frame
  • Made the players attacks have a wind-up where damage is not dealt
    • Attack speed and Damage might be changed in later patches to accommodate for the wind-up
  • Made the "Sturdiness" mechanic easier to use: less hits are now required to stun an enemy
    • As a result, the attack animation is longer, the current attack speed might be changed in later patches

Fixes:

  • Made enemies more reluctant to approach the player too much
    • The player should not get pushed into walls by the enemies anymore
    • It is possible that the enemies might temporarily enter walls if the player doesn't respect their personal space
  • Enemy limbs, should they fall off, will no longer detach themselves in the same order everytime
